Beach Party Extravaganza!

Dear Parents,

We spent this week preparing for our annual Half Note Beach Party and Father's Day.

We started our week celebrating Vashi's 4th birthday.  Thank you to Vashi's family for bringing in delicious cupcakes.  Our class loves to celebrate birthdays as you can see.

On Tuesday, the children made beach themed pudding parfaits for snack.  First, they layered the pudding, a crumb mixture and topped them with gummy fish.

Wednesday was our Beach Party!!! Thank you parents for bringing in food and drinks for our lunch, the children absolutely loved it.

Our room was filled with fun, beach themed activities. We had a small swimming pool, a water table with play fish, and a sand table. In addition, the children painted wooden fish, decorated wooden sailboats, and made paper binoculars for our Whale Watch.  For the whale watch, Ms. Bonne hid a variety of marine animal toys around the room.  The children searched our classroom with their binoculars and found the animals. Ms. Bonne then showed the children her large conch shell and held it up to their ears.

The children said that they heard:
Britta:  a crab
David:  a dolphin
Vashi:  an ocean
Bodie:  an ocean
Oliver:  a starfish
Nora:  an ocean
Idris:  a shark
Ariel:  a duck
Brady:  the sea
Sarika:  an ocean
Ms. Bonne: silence
Ms Denise: that it's time to eat lunch!

On Thursday and Friday, the children spend time working on gifts for Father's Day.

Reminders: We will be closed on Monday, June 10th in observation of Shavuot.

***Graduation and the last day of school will be next Friday on June 14th.  Our concert will start promptly at 11:30AM with a potluck picnic to follow.  We will close at 1:00. The sign up sheet for our potluck is in the hallway.

We will see you on Tuesday, have a great weekend.

Love,

Ms. Bonne & Ms. Denise
