Dear Parents,
This week we learned all about the Christmas holiday. We read several fun festive books such as: Pete the Cat Saves Christmas, A Blue's Clues Holiday, Olivia Helps With Christmas, and Frosty the Snowman. We discussed what traditions people do to celebrate Christmas each year. They put up Christmas trees, hang lights around their house, enjoy a special meal, and sing fun holiday carols.
On Monday, the children made their own tea light snowmen. They cut out the circles and a hat, added stick arms, eyes and a mouth. The final touch was putting a tea light through the middle for the nose. They look so amazing all lit up on our Christmas tree.
The children also were busy working on their holiday surprises. They are so excited to show you all of their festive projects. On Wednesday, the children made candy cane reindeers by gluing eyes, and a pompom nose onto a candy cane. They finished it off by wrapping a pipe cleaner around their finger and then attaching tp the candy cane. They were so adorable!
Other fun areas in the classroom:
The last day of school will be on December 23rd, we will be having a regular day and will close at 6 PM. School will resume on January 4th.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Love,
Ms. Bonne & Ms. Denise
