HALLOWEEN IS ALMOST HERE!

Dear Parents,

We started our week off by listening to some Halloween stories.  Some of our favorites were:  Little Blue Truck's Halloween, Clifford's Halloween, Pete the Cat's Trick or Pete.  We also created foam monsters, skeletons, and witches.

On Wednesday the children created pumpkin people.  They glued tissue paper onto a pumpkin shape and then added eyes, mouth, nose and arms and legs.  They look adorable on our Halloween bulletin board.

On Thursday the children made creepy bats.  They painted coffee         filters with purple watercolors, glued on googly eyes, and added
black glittery tulle.

On Friday, we made black spiders out of an egg carton and pipe cleaners.  The children colored them in black marker and glued on googly eyes.  They look so good along side of the bats on our Halloween bulletin board.
We practiced writing the letter "T" this week.  The children came up with several words such as: turtle, tooth, Tuesday, tree, ten and touch.

Please bring in a macaroni and cheese box if you haven't already. Ms. Lisa plans on making them into box violins.

If you would like to bring in something for our Halloween party and haven't done so already, please let us know.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Love,
