 Dear Parents,

We started off our week by painting cardboard circles which we will use for our teepee village  base. Then the children created a river, by painting with blue food coloring and corn syrup onto a card stock shape, finally added a fish and attached it to the base.

On Tuesday the children decorated colorful Native American teepees.  The children put stickers on a half circle and then we stapled them into a cone shape.  The final touch was adding colorful patterned straws on top.

The children designed a campfire by gluing on pebbles and red, yellow, orange, and gold tissue paper onto it (representing fire). They finished their village off by adding Native Americans, made out of clay. The results were phenomenal!  These will make a great center piece for you Thanksgiving table.

Collecting pine needles to add to our teepee
village.

The children practiced writing and sounding out the letter "Q." They also came up with a few words such as:  quail, quilt, quiet, question, and queen.

We celebrated Teddy's 4th birthday this week. Thank you to her family for the delicious cupcakes.

Happy Birthday Teddy!

I am 4 today!
