THANKSGIVING IS HERE!

 Dear Parents,

We started off the week by reading Countdown to Thanksgiving by Jodi Huelin.  This story is about how a family and their friends enjoy celebrating Thanksgiving dinner together.

We then continued to prepare for own classroom celebration by decorating a vest with lots of colorful feather.  The children also made headdresses.  They decorated a colorful strip of paper and added feathers. They all looked so adorable in their costumes.  I am sure you will all agree.

Notes from Ms. Peishuan:                                                               Please see the attachment for the fruits and color yoga.
Thanksgiving song lyrics as below:

Thanksgiving has turkey,

Thanksgiving has pumpkin,

Thanksgiving has yummy pumpkin pie.

Thanksgiving has turkey,

Thanksgiving has pumpkin,

Thanksgiving has my lovely family.

感恩節有火雞,gǎn ēn jiē yǒu huǒ jī ,

感恩節有南瓜,gǎn ēn jiē yǒu nán guā ,
感恩節有好吃的南瓜派。gǎn ēn jiē yǒu hǎo chī de nán guā pài
感恩節有火雞, gǎn ēn jiē yǒu huǒ jī ,
感恩節有南瓜, gǎn ēn jiē yǒu nán guā ,
感恩節有我愛的家人。gǎn ēn jiē yǒu wǒ ài de jiā rén
This week we learned how to write the letter "G."  We sounded it out and came up with several words such as: goose, guitar, goat, girl, and gift.

We would also like thank all of you for contributing the delicious food and treats. We had so much singing, acting out our "Ten Little Turkeys" song, and eating all the fabulous food, as you can see by our pictures.

Happy Thanksgiving !

Notes:
Please bring to school each day a warm winter jacket, gloves,
and a hat.

If you prefer your child to wear a scarf on the playground,  please make sure it is an infinity scarf (a scarf that has the form of a loop without ends), due to choking hazard.

Love,
Ms. Bonne and Ms. Mallari
