HOLIDAY THEME CONTINUES!

Dear Parents,

We continued our holiday theme this week by focusing on Hanukkah.  We started the week off by reading Jeremy's Dreidel, by Ellie Gellman.  The children then created 3-D dreidel using sequins, glitter and stickers.

On Monday, Ms. Peishuan read a fun book Called Shh! We Have a Plan, by Chris Haughton.  It was an engaging story about four friends who are out for a walk.  They spot a bird in a tree and they go through various plans to catch it.  The children learned the Mandarin words for bird and fly.

On Tuesday we celebrated Hanukkah with the Quarter Note Class.  Ilanit (Ariel's mother) made edible dreidels with the children.  They
not only looked adorable but they tasted great! We then played the dreidel game.

Having fun playing math games and practicing writing our alphabet letters.

Let it snow!

The highlight of the week was when the "Mad Scientist" visited our school.   The scientist taught the children about gravity, tornados, and air.   Some of the children were chosen to ride a hover board across the room powered by blowing air.

On Thursday, we made snowmen bookmarks.  The children cut out three circles, a hat, and decorated them with scarf made from pipe cleaners.

On Friday, we made donuts which is a traditional food eaten on Hanukkah.  The children absolutely loved them.

Love,

Ms. Bonne and Ms. Denise
