We had a great week exploring nature. The children made a collage out of leaves which we glued onto laminating paper. We used red, green, yellow, orange, and brown leaves, and some green pine needles. The collages look great laminated and displayed in on our classroom window. Please come by and take a look.
On Tuesday, we sorted various colored leaves and then glued them onto a colorful leaf poster.

| HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY CLARK! |
On Wednesday, the children had so much fun making witches hats using markers, stickers, and glitter glue. They glued a picture of their face onto the hat. They looked absolutely adorable!
Our class is moving onto writing curved letters and the first one was the letter "U." The children practiced writing the letter in their workbooks. We came up with a few "U" words, such as: up, umbrella, and under.
On Halloween day, the children proudly marched around the building in their costumes while their parents looked on. Even the teachers joined in on the fun! We invited the Quarter Notes into our class. We all made Halloween puppets. Ms. Crugnale read a few fun Halloween books and then the children decorated pumpkin shaped cookies with frosting and different kinds of sprinkles. We ended our celebration with a Halloween dance party. We all had so much fun!

This week we focused on making each finger curved. We make round tires. If it’s flattened, we have to pump in the air. When playing piano, make sure each finger has been pumped up.

Fun areas in the classroom:
On Friday we had a nice calming science experiment. We performed a "Lava Lamp Experiment." First, we colored water with food coloring and then we broke Alka Seltzer into small pieces and dropped them into the water. Ask your child what happened.
Love,
Mrs. Boodman and Mrs. Denise
